Dr. Vishal Shukla
Head of Department


Dr. Vishal Shukla, the Head of Mechanical Engineering at Ramdeobaba University in Nagpur, boasts an academic, research and students connected experience of 24+ years. His expertise includes 22 years of teaching, 3 years as a Research Scholar, and industry experience. Dr. Shukla holds a graduate degree from Amravati University (1997), a post-graduate degree from Mumbai University (2003), and a PhD from VNIT, Nagpur (2014). He is also an approved PhD supervisor. Dr. Shukla's students benefit from his engaging teaching style in courses such as FM, FEA, Vibrations, Bioinspired Robotics, Integrated Advanced Manufacturing, Additive & Digital Manufacturing, IIoT & PLM. His prolific research output includes 28 published papers, 10 granted patents, 1 book, and 2 book chapters. Notably, he secured a grant of Rs. 2.81 lakh for designing and developing a Wind Mill fall arrest system through the GSTC-TIFAC-MSME Scheme. Dr. Shukla has chaired conference sessions and reviewed international journals. As a mentor, he has supervised 12 PG projects and delivered 25+ guest lectures across institutes and industries. Dr. Shukla's involvement extends to organizing the International Conference on Advances in Energy Research (ICACER) and IRDME-22 held by RCOEM in March 2019 and Sept 2022. He is an active member of 8 professional societies, including SAE, ISHRAE, and IE. Beyond academia, Dr. Shukla contributes significantly to elevators and PV Roof Top solar power plants. His instrumental role in setting up the RCOEM-TATA-CIIIT, valued at 25 Crores, showcases his commitment to fostering innovation. Additionally, he supports mentoring the start-ups through RCOEM-TBI and Industry 4.0 skill development programs.
