The Institute has a very vibrant and committed ISTE chapter with more than 70 members. The chapter is committed to organizing various technical events like Short Term Training Programme (STTP), orientation Programme etc. on the campus.

Following are a few activities organized under the banner of ISTE Chapter, RCOEM :
  • An ISTE approved Short Term Training Programme(STTP) on "Practices in Computer Network Design & Implementation" organized by Department of Electronics Engineering has commenced at Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur. In inaugural ceremony 01 programme, Chief Guest Mr. Christopher John, Module Lead, Persistent Systems Ltd, Nagpur, Guest of honor Ms. Aruna Lambat, Solution Manager, IBM India Pvt. Ltd., Pune, Head of Department of Electronics, Dr. (Mrs.) A. A. Khurshid, Convener 01 Programme, Dr. Parag Jawarkar and Prof. Nikhil Damle, various participants from engineering and polytechnic institutes allover Maharashtra were prominently present.

  • Short Term Training Program on 'Embedded Systems using Raspberry Pi Single Board Computer' was organized by Electronics and Communications Department from 3rd to 8th October 2016.

  • Electronics & Communication Engineering Department of RCOEM, organized & conducted a Short Term Training Program on "" FPGA based Digital Design with application to SDR in Cognitive Environment", from 5th-9th Oct 2015. The complete program was coordinated by Dr. Rajeshree Raut (Asso. Prof.) & Prof. Anish Goel (Asst. Prof.) of EC department and were heavily supported, motivated and guided by Dr. S.B.Pokle, HOD , EC and Dr. R.S. Pande, Principal RCOEM. The program highlighted the latest technology of Cognitive Radio for the cellular networks that was demonstrated by Amitec Electronics Ltd. Delhi , which has also tied up with College with an MOU for the mutual benefits under Industry Institute Interaction. The STTP had an overwhelming response with Participants from Hyderabad, Nashik, Pune, Bhusawal, Sangamner, Amravati, Wardha, Ramtek and colleges in Nagpur included VNIT, YCCE, PCE, Vincent Palloti, Raisoni, S. B. Jain , Anjuman, TGPCET and the host institution. The Success of the STTP was credited to the tireless efforts of the devoted faculty of the Electronics and Communication department.

  • Short Term Training Program on"Measurement Practices in Instrumentation System" ISTE approved Short term training program on "Measurement Practices in Instrumentation System" organized by department of Electronics Engineering. The program was inaugurated at the hands of Mr. Tushar Joshi, Senior architect, Persistent Systems Ltd., Nagpur. In his key note address Mr. Tushar Joshi presented details related to advancement in instrumentation. He also put forth the idea of internet of things to be implemented in the field of instrumentation which can create safe and convenient life.Mr. Pradeep Gujrathi, Deputy director , Institute for Design of Electrical Measuring Instruments, Mumbai ; Ashish Uttarwar, CEO, Arav Technologies ;Akhil Bahale, Sterling Electricals, Sanjay Pitale, CEO , Automat process control ;Nikhil Mithaliya, application engineer ,Techktronix, Pune and faculty members of RCOEM conducted various theory and practical sessions related to measuring practices in instrumentation system.

  • A One-week Short Term Training Program (STTP) on "Advances in Wireless Communication" was organized from 21-25 March 2011 for the faculty members of Electronics, EDT, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering of our institute and also for the teachers from all over India.

  • A One-week Short Term Training Program (STTP) on "Research Methodologies" was organized from 25-29 June 2007 for the faculty members of Industrial, Production and Mechanical Engineering of our institute and also for the teachers of other institute in this region.

  • One day workshop was organized on "Embedded System-RISC Processors" on 27th Jan 2007 for the faculty of Electronics, EDT, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering of our institute and also for the teachers of other institute in this region.

  • A One-week Short Term Training Program (STTP) on "Recent Trends in Networking" was organized from 11-15 December 2007 for the faculty members of Information Tech. Computer Science, Electronics, EDT, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering of our institute and also for the teachers from all over India.

  • An ISTE Sponsored Two-week Short Term Training Program (STTP) on "Advances in Communication & Coding: Algorithms & Systems" is planned in the month of the month of March from 26-31 November 2006 for the faculty members of Electronics, EDT, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering of our institute and also for the teachers from all over India.

  • A One-week Short Term Training Program (STTP) on "Embedded System" was organized from 13-24 November 2006 for the faculty members of Electronics, EDT, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering of our institute and also for the teachers from all over India.

  • A Two-week Short Term Training Program (STTP) on "Front End VLSI Design and CMOS Implementation" was organized from 13-24 November 2006 for the faculty members of Electronics, EDT, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering of our institute and also for the teachers from all over India.

  • A three days workshop on 'Computer Awareness and Housekeeping' was organized for Non-Teaching staff from 15-18 May 2006.

  • Started ISTE Student's Chapter at our Institute.
