Mentorship Program

The Students Representative Council (SRC) has always strived to make the newly admitted, first year students feel comfortable in the new environment and keep them updated with all the activities of the college. To achieve this, the SRC conducts “Mentorship Program” for the first year students, wherein the mentors visit their respective classes and cater to the needs of all students. Each class has been appointed one to two mentors from the Students Representative Council to guide the first years about the college, its rules and regulations, the structure, the exam patterns and all the other issues and the problems which the first year students face. The mentors also make sure that the students are not exposed to heinous crimes like ragging. The mentors are easily approachable and understand the problems of the fresher. The mentors visit the classes once in a week on a specific day and interact with the students. Every problem is catered to in a very effective way by the mentors. Each class is allotted 2-3 SRC members to cater to the students of the first year. The students can approach these mentors whenever they wish. These mentors convey the problems to the Dean Students Dr. Rashmi Shahu and he efficiently solves them. Mentorship facility by the Students’ Representative Council runs successfully among the first year students and the students are happy about it.
