The quality of education and skills that we impart to our students have made us the choice of many recruiters. Majority of our students get placed on campus. The Placements have been consistent throughout and for last five years it is above 95%. Some of the alumni of the school is presently placed in A+ layer software companies like Intel, Yahoo, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, VMware, PeopleSoft and Oracle.

Tech companies like Service Now, Amazon, VMWare, Fivetran, Gojek, Nutanix, ULA, ZS Associates, Kickdrum, PWC, Vconstruct, Birla soft, Principal Global, GE Appliances, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, LTI, Softlink, Persistent Systems Ltd., Infocepts, Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, Extramarks etc are our recruiters.

Full Semester Internships

Since last five years the departments has taken various steps towards campus placement to provide opportunities to students to do paid internships in Industries during their VIII Semester. Companies like Fivetran, Nutanix, CRED, LG Ads, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, VMWare, Hackererth, ZS Associates, BNY Mellon, Accops, Cognizant etc. recruited students for a six-month internship.
During their internships, students received an Internship stipend ranging from 200000 to 75000 per month.

Career Guidance and Training Initiatives at School Level

Career Guidance

Career guidance is provided to the students at central as well as school level.

  • The School of Computer Science & Engineering has established a Career counseling Cell with Head of the Department as the Chairman along with the 6 faculty members of each department. This cell is formed to provide the effective career guidance at the early stage of student life i.e. from the 4th Semester to identify their area of interest and accordingly provide them the necessary counseling for career planning, job selection, and higher studies.
  • Soft skills training programs like FACE, AMCAT, and Campus Recruitment Program (CRT) are arranged for the students to impart professional skills.
  • Guest lectures of well-known academicians and industry persons are arranged at the institute as well as at the departmental level to guide the student.

Counseling for higher studies abroad:
  • Guest Lectures of an alumnus who has already done their M.S. from a reputed organization are arranged to guide the current students in the proper selection of the institutes to do their higher studies abroad.
  • Senior faculty members from the department giving the letter of recommendation (LoR) to take admission for M.S.
  • Complete counseling for university shortlisting, Statement of Purpose (SOP) & Letter of recommendation (LOR) preparation, VISA, etc. of students applying to specifically USA Universities are provided by the department & institute.

Industry Interaction

The students from the departments are motivated to carry out the project work under the prestigious scheme of Rajiv Gandhi Science & Technology Commission (RGSTC) and Technology Information, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India for providing technical support to the micro-small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), Rashtriya Uchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA).

  • Industry Visits are arranged to provide more exposure to students and faculty.
  • Professionals from industries are involved in the Board of Studies, curriculum design, delivery, and assessment.
  • Open elective courses are delivered by personnel from industry.
  • Active involvement of industry in the development of labs, support is in the form of hardware and software.
  • Internship (paid) provided to Final Year students for three to six months by industry.

Training Initiatives
  • Various programs in alliance with faculty and experts from the industry (such as FACE, AMCAT, CRT & Competitive Coding, etc.) are conducted regularly from the second year to improve general aptitude, communication skills, and interview skills. Special sessions for aptitude development are organized.
  • Aptitude Test through the AMCAT platform is conducted twice a year to improve their technical and aptitude skill.
  • One-week technical campus recruitment training (CRT) program is conducted for the final year students before the campus recruitment process by the technical advisor from the professional institute.
  • The department made special efforts in grooming the students on technical as well as soft skills front. The quality of Lab assignments has improved, and course content has been modified to target students’ overall abilities.
  • We have started a full-time paid Industry Internship program for the 8th Semester students which helps them in their placement.
