Training Initiatives

Placement training initiatives at Ramdeobaba University are essential for preparing students to successfully navigate the competitive job market. These training programs bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry expectations, enhance employability, and build essential skills. By investing in comprehensive placement training, RBU not only supports its students career aspirations but also strengthens its reputation and relationships with industry partners. The benefits of these initiatives are far-reaching, impacting students, the university, and employers positively. The training programs are categorized under four verticals, which are as follows:

Employability Initiatives for Students

  • CRT training - 4167 students trained
  • Students from CSE, IT and circuit branches background have been exposed to various programming platforms like Hackerrank, Codeguru, Codechef, InterviewBit for the preparation for dream companies.
  • Students are encouraged to participate in the various HACKATHONs and Company level competitions. 3 Teams out of 10 Teams of RBU that participated in Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2019 have emerged WINNERS in "Complicated" Problem Statement Category
  • Online Practice Aptitude tests (50+ tests) were given to final and pre-final year students. All the tests made available were free and industry standard tests
  • Other Industry level assessment provided to all to final and pre-final year students. Already 1600+ students have appeared for the test.
  • Hundreds of students are registered for online MOOC Courses from UDACITY, UDEMY, COURSERA, SWAYAM, NPTEL, INFYTQ, EDX etc and are given credits in the academic scheme for the same.
  • College has collaboration with AWS and a batch of 30 students is currently undergoing Cloud Solution Architect Certification Training and is expected to be certified by May 2019.
  • Industry Offered Courses: - SalesForce, Mobile Computing, BI, IOT, internet and cyber security etc.


Events and Activities


Competitive Programming Training

Competitive coding, also known as competitive programming training was held for second year and third year students of RBU. The competitive coding training provided a robust foundation in algorithmic thinking, problem-solving, and coding efficiency. Regular practice on platforms like HackerRank, LeetCode, and HackerEarth by students has significantly enhanced their skills and preparedness for technical interviews. Students continued participation in contests and community engagement have further hone their programming abilities, contributing to ongoing professional development. The training was done in batches and more than 1000 students were benefitted with this program.

Generic Programming Training

Analysis of placement statistics of past few years shows that the students when provided with skilled training, their employability chances enhance. Based on this a Generic Programming training vertical was introduced. Under this vertical, based on prevailing technologies in current scenario, generic programming training was divided into 8 technologies viz. C/C++, Java, Advanced Java, Python, Golang, Web programming, SQL/PLSQL and UI/UX development.

Under this training vertical, Golang Programming Training was conducted for more than 300 students of third year CSE and allied branches. Golang has established itself as a powerful language for professional use, particularly in areas requiring high performance, scalability, and efficient concurrency management. Its adoption by major companies and its role in critical infrastructure projects underscore its capabilities and reliability. With a growing ecosystem and an active community, Golang continues to be a preferred choice for modern software development, particularly in backend services, cloud computing, and infrastructure management.

Emerging Tech & Global Certification Training

Based on the inputs from various global IT industries, a global certification training program was held for the students of third year. This global certification was based on Cloud Technologies enabling our students to get placed in higher packages. More than 500 students were trained on AWS Cloud Technologies and were prepared to face the AWS Cloud Practitioner Global Certification Exams.

Quantitative Aptitude Preparatory Training Course

A quantitative aptitude preparatory training course is a valuable for students aiming to excel in competitive exams, secure desirable job roles, and achieve academic success. It contributes to personal development, logical thinking, and effective decision-making. Under this training program more than 500 students were benefited.

Webinar on Higher Education

Ms. Shraddha Singaurey, Recruitment Adviser- - India, Office of International Programs, Wayne State University (WSU) delivered a webinar on 16 Feb 2021 to guide the students about the career opportunities in WSU, USA.
Following topics were discussed during the webinar:

  • "College application process changes that have taken place due to ongoing circumstances."
  • " How the campus has responded to COVID and how it is prepared to welcome new students for upcoming immediate intakes."
  • "The pandemic caused limited access to opportunities, how to build a strong application in this case."
  • "Wayne State University - Programs, scholarships offered, research and teaching assistantships."
