About the Department
The Department is established in the year 2001 with an intake of 60 students for an undergraduate program. Current intake of the Department is 120. The department has been accredited by NBA five times. Well – equipped twelve laboratories with advanced equipments & licensed software supports to achieve excellence in design and research.
The Electronics and Communication engineering degree program at RBU focuses on problem-solving and skill development for real-world applications. Student-centric learning environment provides a variety of opportunities, including research experience, graduate degree with Honors & Minor, project based learning, and internship opportunities.
Student professional body “IETE student chapter” and student Society – ‘Communiqué’ provides a platform for the students and staff to showcase their talent through various technical, co – curricular and extra-curricular activities

Dr. Pallavi K. Parlewar Head of Department
Dr. Pallavi K. Parlewar, Head of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department has received her B. Eng. Degree from Government College of Engineering, India in 2000, received her M.Tech. and Ph. D. degrees from Nagpur University, in 2006 and 2013 respectively. With more than 25 years of academic experience in teaching, research, academic administration, and institutional development, Dr. Parlewar has significantly contributed to engineering education and research. She has held several key leadership positions, including Head of the Department, Dean – Research and Development, Professor in charge – Interdisciplinary Studies, NAAC Coordinator, Central NBA Coordinator, ISO Management Representative, and Nodal Officer for the Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Scheme of MeitY, Government of India.
Her research interests include image processing, computer vision, transform based denoising techniques, and analog devices and circuits.
She has numerous publications in reputed SCI, SCIE, Scopus, Web of Science, and peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. Two patents have been granted and 6 patents are published
