About the Department
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Emerging Technology is a premier hub for academic excellence and technological innovation, offering a future-ready curriculum aligned with global industry trends. It provides comprehensive programs including B.Tech with specializations in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Science and Analytics, Industry Integrated Program with SAP, and Cyber Security, along with advanced M.Tech and Ph.D. programs. Backed by state-of-the-art infrastructure such as the NVIDIA DGX Deep Learning Workstation with V100 GPUs, 82+ high-performance computing systems, the PIKA Hyperspectral Imaging Camera, and the RCOEM-NVIDIA Center of Excellence for AI-ML and Data Analytics, the department fosters a vibrant research culture and real-world learning environment. Dr. Preeti Voditel Head of Department
Dr.Preeti Voditel completed her B.E from Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli, Maharashtra, her Mtech in Computer Science and Information Technology from IIT Kharagpur, West Bengal and Phd from VNIT, Nagpur, in Computer Science and Engineering. She has a work experience of over 22 years out of which she has worked in the Industry for 2 years. She was also posted in the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) during the computerization of the bourses.
She has good international papers, patents and consultancy work. She is a member of various professional bodies like IEEE and ACM. She is an avid writer and a speaker.
Her areas of interest are data mining, algorithms, reinforcement learning, statistical learning and fintech.
Presently she is the Head, Computer Science and Engineering and Emerging Technologies in Ramdeobaba University, Nagpur.
