M. Tech in Electrical Engineering (Electric Vehicle Technology)

The transition to electric vehicles (EVs) is a key global strategy for decarbonizing the transport sector, with India actively supporting the EV30@30 campaign, aiming for 30% of new vehicle sales to be electric by 2030. This shift has created a rising demand for skilled professionals in Electric Vehicle Technology.

This post-graduate program focuses on the design, development, and implementation of EV technology, equipping students with the necessary engineering skills and foundational knowledge to excel in the modern mobility industry. The curriculum explores both opportunities and challenges in EV adoption, preparing students for leadership and research roles in this transformative field.

Graduates can pursue careers in automotive companies, EV manufacturers, R&D organizations, and government agencies, working as design engineers, systems engineers, research scientists, and project managers. The program also serves as a strong foundation for higher studies, entrepreneurship in E-Mobility, and consultancy in the energy sector.

Dr. Uday B.Mujumdar

Head of Department

Dr. Uday B. Mujumdar, Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering has completed his graduation in 1992 from Visvesvarayya Regional College of Engineering (Presently VNIT), Nagpur and M.E from RSTMNU, Nagpur. He completed Ph.D from RSTMNU Nagpur in 2018 in the research area of Power Converters for Distributed Generation sources.
