Department of Chemistry
The emphasis is given to knowledge and understanding of the fundamental principles of Chemistry and its applications in industry, environment and social context. Chemistry department is teaching Environmental Science, Engineering Chemistry, Chemistry for Civil Engineers and Fundamentals of Functional materials. courses in first/second/Third semester of B. Tech. Department also offers different Open Electives Courses based on latest technological advancements and advanced fields of Chemistry.
Faculty
The faculty members of the departments have average experience of more than 18 years’. Faculties are actively engaged in research and other important assignments of the Institute. The areas of specialization and research interest of the faculty members are Nanoscience, Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Physical, Polymer, Material Science and Environmental Chemistry. Faculties published more than 100 research papers in the SCI/Web of Science/Scopus Indexed journals as well as Scopus-indexed conference proceedings. Eight research students have been awarded with Doctoral Degree from this research center. Currently, five research scholars are working in the Chemistry Research Centre. One of the faculty members has authored five textbooks on Chemistry for engineering students.
