Dr. Yeshwant M. Sonkhaskar, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering under the School of Engineering Sciences. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Government College of Engineering, Amravati, an M.Tech. in Mechanical Systems Design from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj (RTM) Nagpur University.
Dr. Sonkhaskar has over 30 years of teaching experience, with numerous publications in reputed journals and presentations at international conferences. He served as the Professor In-charge of RCOEM–TATA–CIIIT for four years and was also the In-charge of Campus Discipline for two and a half years. He is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), the Association of Machines and Mechanisms (AMM), and the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE).

The Students Welfare Office plays a crucial role in enhancing the student experience within the academic environment. It is dedicated to ensuring the well-being, development, and empowerment of all students by providing resources, opportunities, and support services. - Additionally, it is entrusted with maintaining student discipline and ensuring decorum across the campus, fostering a respectful and harmonious campus atmosphere.

Campus Discipline and Coordination
- Responsible for maintaining campus discipline among students in coordination with hostel wardens.
- Ensures a structured and respectful atmosphere within hostels and on campus.
- Addresses behavioral issues and works proactively to prevent misconduct.
Anti-Ragging and Student Protection
- Serves as a member of the Proctorial Committee to prevent ragging and ensure student safety.
- Implements anti-ragging measures and conducts awareness sessions.
- Provides a safe space for reporting grievances and ensures immediate redressal.
