Infrastructure
The Department of Mathematics set up a Computational Mathematics Laboratory in 2017.
Objectives of the Lab:
- To enhance understanding of mathematical concepts through software-based simulations and problem-solving.
- To develop computational thinking using tools like Python based SageMath, R, etc.
- To support mathematical modelling and numerical analysis in engineering applications.
Location:
- Department of Mathematics, Room Number: G 1/9, G1/8, G-Block, First Floor.
Seating Capacity:
- Number of students accommodated- 50 in Lab 1 and 30 in Lab-2.
Activities Conducted:
- Practical sessions on Calculus, numerical methods, statistics, optimization, etc.
- Internal assessments and lab evaluations.
- Support for student projects and research using mathematical tools.
