Aim
- To create research awareness amongst our faculty members and students.
- To facilitate mutual cooperation between researchers for interdisciplinary research.
- To establish a forward and backward linkage among different sectors like Industry, R&I organizations, foreign universities and apex bodies.
- To work towards developing RBU as internationally recognized R&I center.
Objectives
- To organize various events like national and international conferences, workshops on research methodology and patents, symposia, guest lectures in order to achieve the pre-stated aim enhancing the research awareness.
- To have faster collaboration and interaction with researchers working on disciplinary and interdisciplinary research.
- To encourage every faculty member for research proposal writing and to participate in R&D activities leading to Doctoral degree.
About R&D Cell
R & D Cell of RBU fosters a research culture among faculty members and students. It provides all necessary guidance and assistance to students and faculty members for doing research in various areas. It encourages inter and multi-disciplinary research and constantly explores the possibility of enhancing research linkages with industry for the creation of new knowledge and innovation. Major activities of the cell include:
- Assist in building the research infrastructure, organising workshops, conferences and symposia to promote and foster research environment on
- Facilitate Research paper presentations by faculty and students in reputed conferences, publication of research paper in SCI, Scopus and other such reputed indexed journals.
- Assist in preparing and submitting research proposals to various funding agencies such as DST, SERB, UGC, CSIR, ICSSR, DRDO etc.
- Facilitate organization of expert lectures and training programs to in still contemporary trends of research among faculty and students.
- Provide technical and financial support for patent filing.
- Conduct Ph.D. entrance test, RBU-PET, in coordination with departments on campus.
- Provide annual incentives for all research activities on the campus.

Dr. Dattatraya S. Adane
Director, R & D
Dr. Dattatraya S. Adane has done hisM.Tech, (Computer Science and Engineering) from IIT Guwahati and PhD (Computer Science and Engineering) from VNIT, Nagpur. He has over 30 years of experience in Teaching and Research with over 50 reputed publications to his credit. He is also reviewer of reputed journals. His areas of interest include Information and Network Security, Internet of Things, Algorithms and Cloud Computing. He is a Life Member of The Institution of Engineers, India and ISTE.
