School of Humanities and Sciences
The School of Humanities and Sciences at the Ramdeobaba University has been an integral part of the institution since its inception in 1984. This school comprises multidisciplinary departments that encompasses five distinct domains:
- Department of Mathematics
- Department of Physics
- Department of Chemistry
- Department of Humanities
- Department of Physical Education
The School of Humanities and Sciences offers a broad spectrum of knowledge with interdisciplinary education, blending the study of arts, literature, history, philosophy, social sciences, natural sciences, and mathematics. It promotes critical thinking, creativity, and analytical skills through a diverse curriculum and research opportunities. Students engage in rigorous academic exploration and gain a deep understanding of human culture, scientific principles, and the natural world. The school prepares graduates for a wide range of careers by fostering intellectual curiosity and a commitment to lifelong learning, while also emphasizing the importance of ethical and social responsibility in addressing global challenges.

Dr A.V. Bharati Dean School of Humanities and Sciences
A seasoned academician with over 30 years of service, Dr. Bharati has been a pillar of excellence since joining the university in 1991. Holding an M.Sc. in Chemistry (1991) and a Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry (2000) from RTM Nagpur University, he combines scholarly rigor with visionary leadership. His tenure is marked by a commitment to fostering diversity, innovation, and academic excellence. A person of interdisciplinary collaboration, he integrates cutting-edge research in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Nanomaterials, and Environmental Sciences into education. Dr. Bharati has authored acclaimed textbooks, published more than 34 research papers in reputed journals. He is a General Secretary of the Indian Society of Analytical Scientists.
Driven by a mission to inspire future scientists, he emphasizes community partnerships and the real-world impact of fundamental science, nurturing ethical and globally aware scholars.
Major Achievement
- The school has well-equipped Research Centre established through 04 research grants of more than 1 Crore received from ICMR, SERB and DST and the MoU with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai.

- Kwality Photonics, Hyderabad. By Department of Physics.
- Chemistry Laboratory is a recognized testing centre for the petroleum products from the Ministry of Petroleum, Government of India. The department also undertakes an analysis of water samples, cement and other engineering materials.
