About the EDC

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) under the CSE Department of Ramdeobaba University, Nagpur, aims to foster innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking among students. The EDC plans to act as a feeder platform to the University’s Technology Business Incubator (TBI), preparing students to take ideas from concept to prototype and, eventually, to incubation and funding.

To inspire and nurture entrepreneurial thinking among CSE students, empowering them to create technology-driven solutions with real-world impact.

Mission:

  • Promote student-led ideation and innovation.
    • Provide opportunities for hands-on learning and prototyping.
    • Build strong links with RBU’s TBI, alumni, and industry mentors.
    • Create a sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem within the department.

Objectives

  • Cultivate awareness of startup culture and entrepreneurship.
  • Encourage student-driven initiatives and peer learning.
  • Provide resources and mentorship for prototype development.
  • Connect innovative ideas with RBU’s TBI for incubation opportunities.

Organizational Structure

The EDC operates through a faculty-supervised, student-led structure for sustainability and high engagement.

Roles and Responsibilities
Role Responsibilities
Faculty In-Charge Strategic direction, approvals, TBI coordination, industry outreach.
Faculty Co-Coordinator Operational support, mentorship, activity oversight.
Student President Lead student body, oversee all activities, liaise with faculty.
Vice-President Coordinate teams, manage deadlines, ensure continuity.
Event & Outreach Team Plan events, invite speakers, manage alumni collaborations.
Technical Team Support prototypes, hackathons, and idea validation.
Media & Content Team Branding, posters, newsletters, and social media presence.
Finance & Sponsorship Team Budget planning, sponsor outreach, resource allocation.
