RBU Inaugurated UDGHOSH 8.0 - Annual Sports Event

Ramdeobaba University, Nagpur successfully inaugurated UDGHOSH – Annual Sports Festival on 27th January 2026, marking a vibrant beginning to this flagship sports celebration.

The official inauguration of UDGHOSH 8.0 was graced by Ms. Arundhati Pantawane, International Badminton Player. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rajesh Pande warmly welcomed and felicitated the distinguished guest, appreciating her achievements and inspirational journey. The overall inauguration ceremonies were conducted in the esteemed presence of Dr. Manoj Chandak – Principal – RCOEM, Dr. Gourav Goyal– Director, student Welfare RBU, Dr. A. V. Bharti – Dean, School of Humanities and Dr. Amit Anurag – HOD, Dept of Physical Education whose guidance and encouragement added significance to the occasion. Additionally, the Chess event was started at DT-906.

The Intercollegiate Football event was started at SFS College Ground at 9:00 a.m. by the auspicious hands of Dr. Kalpana Jadhav, – Former HOD, Hislop College Nagpur and Ex- Director of Physical Education Department, RTMNU in the presence of Dr. Amit Anurag. The opening match was played between CPC and RBU ‘A’, wherein RBU ‘A’ emerged victorious through a penalty shootout.

The Basketball event commenced at the RTMNU Basketball Court at 2:00 p.m. by Dr. Welukar Sir – Former director of Physical Education, RTMNU, in the presence of Dr. Amit Anurag and Prof. Saket Kanetkar.

Approx. 25 premier colleges have participated in the event. The department of Physical Education, under the collective contribution of Dr. Amrita Pande, Prof. Kanchan Yadav, Prof. Ayush Jadhav, Prof. Shubham Itankar, Prof. Vinisha Nitnaware, and Prof. Saket Kanetkar, has been working relentlessly to ensure seamless planning, coordination, and execution of this annual sports festival. The closing ceremony is scheduled to be held on 1st February at RTMNU Athletic Track. UDGHOSH 8.0 continues to reflect Ramdeobaba University’s commitment towards promoting competitive sports, holistic development, and inter-collegiate sporting excellence.
