Ramdeobaba University and the entire Ramdeobaba family came together in a moment of collective pride and celebration to felicitate Shri Satyanarayan Nuwal, Chairman, Shri Ramdeobaba Sarvajanik Samiti (SRSS), and Chairman, Solar Group and on the occasion of his being named a recipient of the prestigious Padma Shri, to be conferred by the Government of India. On behalf of the entire Ramdeobaba family, Shri Nuwal was felicitated by Shri Ashok Kumar Pacheriwala, Treasurer, SRSS, with a Scroll of Honour celebrating his prolific career, exemplary service to the nation, and his decades-long association with Ramdeobaba family, a memento featuring golden-engraved seven horses symbolizing success and progress, and a unique portrait crafted by RBU student Mr. Manas Jaiswal—artistically created by inscribing “Shri Ram”—reflecting the deep admiration and reverence of the student community. The felicitation took place during the inaugural ceremony of Pratishruti 2026, the Annual University Fest of Ramdeobaba University, honouring its visionary leader, Shri Nuwal, whose decades of association has enriched the institution and inspired generations.

Addressing to the gathering, Shri Nuwal humbly remarked, “This award recognizes the hardwork of my entire team of dedicated personnel, to every guru, guide, and well-wishers who shaped my journey. While citing example of rapid transformation in warfare technologies, he underscored the necessity of evolving continuously with changing times while remaining firmly rooted in values and cultural heritage. Highlighting India’s immense talent pool, he urged all to harness this powerhouse for nation-building and to contribute meaningfully to the vision of a self-reliant India. Quoting the Sanskrit maxim “Vidya Vinayena Shobhate” (knowledge is adorned by humility), he stressed the importance of character, humility, and cultural grounding in shaping responsible global citizens. He reminded students to carry their roots with pride, wherever in the world they may go.

The Padma Shri recognizes Shri Nuwal’s pioneering contribution to indigenous defence manufacturing strengthening India’s journey toward self-reliance. This national honour is a matter of profound pride for Maharashtra and especially Nagpur, as he joins the distinguished list of luminaries from the city to receive this rare recognition.
