 The Department of Computer Science & Applications, RBU, Nagpur, successfully organized the Alumni Meet 2025 on 30th August 2025. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 18 alumni from batches 2016 to 2023, along with all faculty members and selected students of the MCA and BCA programs.

Dais and Dignitaries

The session commenced with a formal welcome of dignitaries and alumni. The dais was graced by:

– Dr. R. Kadu, Head of Department (HOD),

– Dr. P. Voditel, Ex-HOD

– Dr. R. Hablani, Ex-HOD

– Prof. P. Khandar, Alumni Coordinator

All faculty members of the Department of Computer Science & Applications were also present to interact with the alumni and students.

Inaugural Session

The meet began with a warm welcome extended to the alumni by the students, followed bya welcome address by Dr. R. Kadu (HOD). Dr. P. Voditel and Dr. R. Hablani, in their addresses, appreciated the alumni for their contributions and urged them to remain connected with the department to strengthen the alumni network.

Alumni Speaks Session

A few prominent alumni — Mr. Gaurav Muley, Mr. Aditya Gadhave, Mr. Dhananjay Vaidya,Mr. Izhan Khan, shared their professional journeys, experiences and valuable guidance for the students. Their motivating speeches encouraged students to focus on skill-building, adaptability, and leveraging networking opportunities.

Alumni–Student Interaction

An interactive session was held with selected MCA and BCA students, where alumni answered questions, provided career guidance and shared insights on industry trends and expectations.

Alumni–Faculty Interaction

The faculty and alumni engaged in productive discussions on several strategic areas, including:

– Enhancing placement opportunities through alumni networking and referrals

– Designing strategies for internships to benefit current students

– Exploring co-teaching opportunities and organizing expert lectures

– Identifying industry-driven problem statements for projects and research

– Establishing a mentor–mentee scheme for structured student guidance

Curriculum Discussion

The alumni also provided valuable feedback and suggestions on the current MCA and BCA teaching schemes and syllabus to better align the curriculum with industry requirements.

Vote of Thanks and Conclusion

The formal session concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. P. Khandar, Alumni Coordinator, who expressed gratitude to all alumni and faculty for their contributions. As a token of appreciation, mementos were presented to all alumni, and feedback forms were collected to capture their suggestions for future improvement and collaboration.

Outcome of the Event

The Alumni Meet 2025 successfully:
