Department of Electronics Engineering
Established in 1986, the Department of Electronics Engineering has been at the forefront of technical education and research in the field of electronics. With a legacy of academic excellence and a commitment to innovation, the department has grown to encompass a broad spectrum of specialized programs that meet the dynamic needs of industry and academia.
The department offers the following academic programs:
- B.Tech in Electronics Engineering (Since 1986)
- B.Tech in Electronics and Computer Science (Started in 2022 | Intake: 120)
- B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering (Started in 2020 | Intake: 30)
- M.Tech in VLSI Design (Started in 2004 | Intake: 12)
The department also holds the distinction of being an Approved Place of Research for the Ph.D. program under Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur since 2005. With strong research collaborations, modern laboratories, and a dedicated faculty team, the department continually strives to empower students and scholars with the knowledge and skills required to address real-world challenges in electronics, embedded systems, biomedical technology, VLSI, and interdisciplinary areas.

Dr. Jayu P. Kalambe Head of Department
Dr. Jayu P. Kalambe is the Head of the Department of Electronics Engineering at Ramdeobaba University, Nagpur. She earned her Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, and has over 25 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership.
Her research interests include sensors and instrumentation, embedded systems, Internet of Things (IoT), intelligent sensing technologies, microelectronics, and point-of-care diagnostic systems for healthcare and industrial applications. She has published over 50 research papers in reputed journals and conferences, authored two book chapters, holds 18 patents, and has successfully led several funded research projects.
Dr. Kalambe has received several prestigious recognitions, including the Researcher of the Year Award, the Fourth Prize in the Swadeshi Microprocessor Challenge organized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and a DST-SERB International Travel Grant to present her research at the IEEE Biosensors Conference in London. She is committed to advancing engineering education through innovation, interdisciplinary research, and industry collaboration.
